He is the Chairperson of the Prime Minister's Science, Technology & Innovation Advisory Council (PM-STIAC). His work has been recognized by many awards: including the Padma Shri, Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize and many more.
Dr. Parvinder Maini is the Scientific Secretary, Office of the Principal Scientific Advisor to the Government of India, since February 2022. Dr. Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, is an Ayurvedic doctor, served as the Vice Chancellor of Jamnagar-based Gujarat Ayurveda University during 2013-2016. He was appointed as Secretary of Ministry of AYUSH in the Government of India in July 2017. He has bagged many laurels and distinctions: Global Ayurveda Physician Award in 2007; Ayurveda Ratna Award in 2008 and Padmashri Award for Medicine in 2015, to name a few.
Dr. Rajesh S. Gokhale is the Secretary of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and a distinguished scientist in the field of chemical biology. At DBT, he has launched key national initiatives including BioE3 (Biotechnology for Economy, Environment, and Employment) and a mission on biomanufacturing to drive sustainable, innovation-led growth.
Prof. Umesh V. Waghmare is the Secretary of Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. He was the President of Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR). A distinguished theoretical physicist, Prof. Waghmare graduated with the Institute Silver Medal and B.Tech in Engineering Physics from IIT Bombay (1990). He earned his Ph.D. from Yale University (1996) and completed postdoctoral research at Harvard University (1996–2000). One among the finest physicists and materials scientists, he is a recipient of several prestigious honours, including the Infosys Prize and the Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize. He has also served as President of the Indian Academy of Sciences, Bengaluru.
Dr. Samir V Kamat has taken over as Secretary DDR&D and Chairman Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) on 26th Aug 2022. Dr. Kamat has spearheaded the development of naval systems such as advanced light weight torpedo, anti-torpedo decoy systems, autonomous underwater vehicles, advanced hull mounted and towed array sonars for ships and fuel cells based air independent propulsion systems for submarines.

Dr Rajiv Bahl is a physician-scientist, with specialization in paediatrics and public health. He was appointed as Secretary, Department of Health Research & Director General, Government of India from October 2022. Prior to that, Dr Bahl has held the position of Head of Research on Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health at the World Health Organization (WHO), Geneva (2013-22).

Earlier, he served as director of National Institute of Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM-T), Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu and as chief scientist at the CSIR - Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), Mysuru, Karnataka.
